i love love love art that has to do with books and text, so i was really excited to come across the amazing work of scottish artist georgia russell. she cuts vintage ephemera, books and maps with an amazingly patient precision that produces this object that looks as if it has been violently attacked. even so, the end result is delicate and skeleton-like. hauntingly beautiful. i really enjoy the cut books in bell jars. happy halloween!
