terence conran's the house book

found the house book by the one and only terence conran at the thrifts last weekend. 400 pages of great blast-from-the-past interiors. first published in the mid-70s in the u.k., it was a sensation. filled with  european interiors, advice about home planning and decorating, from hardware to attic living. this edition was reprinted in the u.s. in 1983. "a volume of unprecedented elegance and sophistication," says the inside flap. thought i'd share some of my favorite pages with you here.

  1. This book is a must have! I, too, found my copy at a thrift in town (or was it a garage sale?). It's super easy to navigate, and I love flipping through it whenever I'm stuck on a project around the house. Love the spreads you picked to share!
